Work-Study
"Use It or Lose It" Policy
For students who deferred their Fall Work-Study, the Winter “Use It or Lose It”
deadline is:
Friday, March 21, 2008 (the end of Winter Quarter).
You will lose your entire Work-Study award if you do not secure employment or
defer it by the above date.
Even if your job begins after Winter Quarter, you need to:
- obtain your Work-Study Referral from the Financial Aid Office, or print it from the Job Board.
- give your Referral to your employer, and
- ask your employer to submit your Referral to the Work-Study Office before the Friday, Friday, March 21, 2008 deadline.
We will continue to update the job board with employment opportunities.
To defer your work-study award, please e-mail the work-study program at wsp@sa.ucsb.edu or visit the financial aid office.
The Work-Study "Use It or Lose It" Policy allows us to more effectively track and redistribute unused Work-Study funds.
