The Net Price Calculator provides an estimated Financial Aid Award Letter for full-time, first-time degree-seeking undergraduate students only. Graduate students should contact our office for an estimate. These estimates do not represent a final determination, or actual award, of financial assistance or a final net price; they are only estimates based on cost of attendance and Financial Aid provided to students. All estimated values are subject to change and based on the availability of funding.
The Cost of Attendance and Financial Aid availability changes year to year. This is in accordance to Department of Education's recommendations. These estimates shall not be binding on the Secretary of Education, to UC Santa Barbara, or the State.
This estimator only produces estimated values based on the information you provide. If you provide incorrect information, the resulting estimated values may differ significantly from your final Financial Aid award letter. Furthermore, your final Financial Aid award letter can be affected by a number of factors:
- The number of units you complete during an academic quarter
- Private scholarships from external agencies
- Specific requirements, such as the Cal Grant GPA Verification Form
Students who are less than 24 years old may still qualify for Independent status. For more information, view the Dependency Status criteria
