The San Marcos Foothills is comprised of a majority of native grassland habitat (204.6 acres) and supports the largest and best remaining grassland in our region. In completing this project, we hope to attain a more informed perspective on the effects prescribed grazing has on native grass species at the San Marcos Foothills and determine the efficacy of grazing to achieve long-term grassland restoration.</p>
