As a former golf course situated between the developed Isla Vista and Goleta municipalities, the North Campus Open Space serves as an excellent point of reference to assess the potential environmental benefits of restoring previously developed coastal scrubland. Focusing on the California native coastal scrub, Artemisia californica, this study aims to investigate whether or not limitations to its growth and distribution are correlated to bulk density and interrelated soil characteristics.</p>
