About

Major: Zoology
Faculty Mentor: Dr. Cherie Briggs
The fungal pathogen Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis (Bd) is responsible for causing chytridiomycosis, an infectious disease that has globally decimated amphibian populations. The goal of our project is to study Bd's tendency toward biofilm incorporation in natural systems and its resulting effects on persistence and infectiousness.
